How are you finding Wales/Pontins;
I don’t really know yet, we have only just got here, I have been to the UK before as a child, I love the country. It’s a bit like America but smaller.
How did the North American/Canadian Tour go?
Really good, it was above all our expectations. The country is so big so we were a bit worried about the turn outs, but they were all great and the new album got a great response. We did have a bus accident, however.
Do you ever get compared to other female fronted bands like Lacuna Coil?
Yeah of course, we also get compared to Night Wish a lot. But what I think sets Epica apart is that we try to be more metal, a little more aggressive. We want to show our talents as musicians more.
What’s the weirdest thing that has ever happened to you on tour?
The weirdest thing that has ever happened to me on tour has to be after we had played in Hamburg once. I got onto a ferry in Denmark to go back to Germany, I fell asleep and woke up and got off the ferry and I couldn’t see the tour bus. I was panicking and then I realised that I had slept all the way to Germany and the ferry had returned to Denmark. So I had to get back on and travel all the way back to Germany again. I didn’t fall asleep that time!
